TEENAGER MISSING

Walker Valley/A Walker Valley man has issued an appeal for information concerning his daughter missing since Sunday afternoon.

Edward Hanna, owner of Thouroughbred Cars of Middletown, said he dropped his daughter, Janet, 15, and a friend off near the Thruway Market in Walden about 5 p.m. Sunday and hasn't heard from her since.

He said it isn'tunusual for his daughter, who he said can pass for an 18 year old to stay away one or two nights without permission but this is the first time she's been away so long. He said he reported Janet missing to State Police at Ellenville on Tuesday.

Hanna described Janet as 5-foot-6 about 130 pounds, with brunette hair and brown eyes. He said he doesn't remember what she was wearing Sunday other than shorts. She had no other clothing or money with her, he said.

Hanna also said he doesn't know the name of Janet's girlfriend, but does know that she lives in the Plattkill area. He said Janet had a bad case of poison ivy on Sunday and he had taken her that morning to Ellenville Hospital for Emergency treatment.

I cannot find that Janet was located, anyone have any luck ??

Since this is near Ulster, I emailed the same detective that just helped us with the other possible match. He's very nice, seems interested in his job actually.

No, I looked and Lisa pulled some articles from Newsbank for me... no good hits... Closest we get are these possibilities on Peoplefinders... No Classmates, etc...

I don't find her on Classmates, etc..

What does everyone think of the photo comparison between these two ?? I don't seem to be getting a response from anyone on this (I mean the police end)

Don't really know what to do at this point, but is there a resemblance here ??

I'm, going to go ahead and move this to the public forum. It is clearly obvious that I cannot get anyone on here to even consider this match. I really think she resembles Beth Doe. I think Janet's father mat still be alive. I cannot get police on either side to contact me back, even though they previously were. Maybe either Janet will contact us and let us know she was found, or maybe someone out there will make something happen.

I'm trying to figure out why that name sounds familiar...am I thinking of Jack Hanna, maybe? Probably.

I think it's worth checking out - the pic is kinda blurry but close enough. She would have had to have been 4-5 months pregnant when she went missing. Maybe she ran off b/c she was pg?

I wonder if that would have been picked up on when she was at the ER for treatment. They probably would have given her prednisone for the poison ivy. I don't know about back then but nowadays a pregnancy test is done for most females of childbearing age who present to the ER, just in case the condition is relevant to the presenting problem or treatment (risk to fetus).
