I think if you look at the chenille blanket, it is a bum lead. Those particular chenille blankets were being sold everywhere at the time. They were called "striped" chenille and if you look at the photos of the blanket, it looks as though someone who wasn't very good at it tried to crochet a floral pattern on it.
I looked at a lot of chenille bedspreads yesterday. They were actually more expensive and fancy in the 40s and 50s than they were in the 60s and 70s. They were cheap, cheap, cheap in the 70s. Bum lead. |
