That's rather amazing, actually. The month and day of the two out of Cape Girardeau were exactly the same. Almost 30 years apart. Could be connected or just a coincidence. I sure never heard of Tonya Dye though. Come to think of it, that would have been just about the time we purchased our home in Southern Hills and we were so wrapped up in the closing procedures. I guess it just escaped my attention. I should read up on that case. Tom Dye actually worked for KOLR, Channel 10 for many years and then came over to KY-3, Channel 3 in the mid 1980s if I recall correctly. He was everyone's favorite weatherman. I wonder if he is still around as he retired at least 10 years ago. Such a shame. How do these things keep happening? I suppose there must be an unlimited number of evil predators out there looking for victims. As I said, all women should have concealed weapons and when they are potential victims, shoot first and ask questions later. As it stands now, almost no woman has a chance of beating off her attacker with his superior muscular strength. It is never a fair fight.

I'm happy to see him still around. He always seemed the perfect gentleman.

I wish I had more time to read all of this stuff, it is so darned interesting, especially the 3 Missouri women missing, and now this case. I actually just found some more too that may or may not be connected. All very interesting..

I have often wondered if her abduction, assault and death were the work of the person who abducted, assaulted and killed the two teachers in the Delta MO (Cape Girardeau area). Those were committed on the same date, but 30 years apart, both were teachers.
If those are unsolved, you should post something about them in "Unsolved Cases", sounds interesting.
