NOTORIOUS child-killer Valmae Beck has taken the secrets of at least one unsolved murder to her grave.
Beck, 64, jailed for life along with then husband Barrie Watts for the 1987 torture and murder of 12-year-old Noosa schoolgirl Sian Kingi, was declared dead at 6.15pm, after emergency heart surgery three weeks ago.
Queensland police had won approval to seek a deathbed confession from the ailing Beck, a jailhouse convert to Christianity, over several unsolved cases across Australia, including the murder of Brisbane mother Helen Feeney.
Doctors attempted to bring her out of an induced coma on May 9, but she remained semi-conscious and incoherent up to her death last night.
No next of kin were with Beck, who had been fighting obesity for several years, when she died.
