THE TWO young daughters of Avril Cyrus-Blake have been grieving since their mother went missing 10 days ago and her relatives are appealing to the public to assist in finding her.
"Look out for her face," the missing woman's mother Judith Cyrus pleaded yesterday.
She noted that she has had trouble eating and sleeping since her daughter went missing, and that the whole family were emotionally "weak".
She said her 31-year-old daughter has custody of her children, aged five and ten, on weekends and went to Chinapoo, Morvant to drop them off at their father's home on December 9.
Cyrus said her son-in-law, who is a Corporal in the army, left soon after to attend classes while Blake, who was wearing, white pencil jeans and a blue and white top was given a lift to the Morvant Junction by a neighbour.
Blake's roommate called her at around 8.30 p.m. and she told her she was not far from her 6th Avenue, Barataria home where she had been staying for the past two months.
This was the last time she was heard from and Cyrus noted that since the story was highlighted in the Express last Thursday they have received no further information. "I know something wrong," she commented.
Cyrus-Blake's father has visited the Port of Spain Mortuary and the Forensic Science Centre to find out if a person matching his daughter's description of 5' 4" tall, weighing 130 lbs with a tattoo of hearts on her lower back has been found.
Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Avril Cyrus-Blake is asked to contact the family at 755-2417 or 353-9292 or the Morvant Police Station at 624-1926 or 627-1981.
