A girl described as young and very attractive with olive skin, dark eyes and dark hair, checked in together with a blond male in Roper's motel in Pecos Texas on Tuesday July 5 1966. She was between 17 and 20 years old, and wore a solid red bathing suit.
She had a four inch burn scar on her right rib cage and a three-inch scar on her left leg. The girl was heard to scream at about 5:30 p.m, and was found floating in the pool. She died on her way to the Reeves County Memorial Hospital. Meanwhile the man asked his motel registration card back—to be used for identification at the hospital. He was last seen driving away in a late model sedan. Neither the man nor the woman left any clues to their identities in the motel room.
The girl wore dark shorts anda flowered blouse when checking in.
The short blond man registered as her husband, wore a white tee-shirt, black trousers and loafers.

On July 5, 1966, this female checked in to the Roper Motel in Pecos with an unidentified
male. They were seen swimming together. Around 5:30 p.m. she was heard to scream and people
rushed to the pool. She was pulled out, and attempts were made to save her life with no
success. Her companion, meanwhile, checked out and left the motel. Her body lies in an
unmarked grave in the Pecos Cemetery.
